This weekend Ive been in London and today there was the Unite the Kingdom march. 🇬🇧 As a content creator, I find it interesting to see different things with my own eyes. Some people will like that. Some people won’t. That’s life. I went because I wanted to see it for myself — not through headlines, not through clips online, but actually be there and form my own opinion. What I personally saw wasn’t what some people might expect. I saw people from different walks of life, different ages and different backgrounds. I didn’t see chaos around me. I didn’t feel unsafe. In fact, I felt completely safe. And standing there surrounded by Union flags, I actually felt proud. Now that doesn’t mean everyone will agree. It doesn’t mean everyone shares the same political views. And that’s okay. We are all entitled to our opinions — that’s what makes life interesting. Healthy debate is normal. Disagreement is normal. What isn’t normal is instantly labelling someone because they documented something. Today, simply for showing what was happening, I was called names that couldn’t be further from who I am. Let’s be careful how we speak to people. Before you throw words around, ask yourself if you actually know the person you’re speaking about. There’s good and bad everywhere. You can’t stereotype someone based on an opinion, a vote, or an event they attended. We can disagree without being disrespectful. That’s all. 🇬🇧 ❤️ #london #protest #unitethekingdom #march #greatbritain (@danielsjourney82)
