So I’m still waiting for feedback from Nottinghamshire County Council about my pothole compensation claim. The incident happened on 16th February. I reported it properly — took photos, measured the pothole, submitted everything required. They acknowledged receipt on 4th March (I have the email confirming this). I left it, gave them time to deal with it. Then when I politely asked for an update, I was basically told to wait and to not keep checking in. Fast forward — I ask again because it’s now dragging on — and I’m told it can take 90 days. Fine. That’s slow, but okay. But here’s the part that doesn’t sit right… They’re now claiming they received my compensation claim on 19th March, which simply isn’t true. I have written confirmation it was acknowledged on 4th March. You genuinely couldn’t make it up. I don’t know what your local council is like, but this experience has been frustrating to say the least. I’m not asking for special treatment — just transparency, accuracy, and a fair timeline.
